The 8th and 9th Street blocks of Nathan Meeker's 1870 Union Colony, laid out around Lincoln Park on a midwestern grid and rebuilt in brick after a hotel fire in March 1880; listed on the National Register in 2008 with thirty-two contributing buildings.
